![]() Sunday - went to baybeats. page performed a kick ass show, so did electrico. didnt catch other bands perform 'cos...uurrmmm, well we just chose not to. stay up throughout the night in front of the computer. Monday - met up with samir, hafiz and shakir at 0630hrs. can see the sign of fatigue in them from yesterday's event. made our way to bartley secondary school. met up with the rest at the coffee shop near bartley and then finally went in together to the school. a total of 11 people if im not wrong. we went up to the freakin' warm hall. bartley, as stingy as ever, refused to turn on the air-con. the old bartleyans were there for the special appearance of an event called Bartley Battle of the Stars. did our national anthem, pledge and school song and the show began. 1st band played Sheila on 7 - Melompat Lebih Tinggi. it was painful 3 minutes+. next up were 3 girls singing to PCD - Stickwitu. not as painful but please get a minus one track next time for crying out loud. last competing band played Green Day - Basket Case and it was freakin' hilarious. if you wanna sing an english song, do take in the slang as well. an english song + malay accent = a perfect laughing stock. i'm no musician but just like every music enthusiast, we can tell between a good performance and a bad one. the judges (who're teachers of course) who commented for these 3 groups kept on lying, saying they're good, have potential to be on mtv, like the guitar, like the drums, vocals, vibe, spirit, yada yada yada yada. dammit teachers, you don't have to kiss students asses. just give your honest remarks and some advises. yes i know it takes lotsa courage to be up on stage in front of hundreds of viewers, but at least show them that you practiced hard for it. do i sound like a teacher? haha. bitch! the moment we've been waiting for arrived. special guest appearance by the old bartleyans. their first song was 311 - Love Song followed by Muse - Muscle Museum and finally Muse - Can't Take My Eyes Off You. If only, IF ONLY the lead guitar can be heard, it'll be a concert to remember but nope that won't happen. but still, great job band-aige. i blame the sound system and those who in charge of it. you people suck. i realise how much i miss waking up so darn early in the morning just to get to school on time. i miss waiting for the bus while it's still all dark with many other pupils in school uniform. i miss taking the national anthem, the school song and taking the pledge with the rest of the school. i miss the scolding the school would get from the discipline master. weird, but true. the DM would go yada yada yada and all that filled our mind were whatever, like i give a damn about it, shut up already, *curse curse curse* and so on. worse especially when the sun was screaming hot at the parade square. i miss the early morning cigratte of the day. it's the best one. i miss mentally stripping the hot upper secondary school girls. did i say too much? i'm a guy afterall. nothing wrong here. those are some of the bits and pieces of my history. i always wish i could've done more but that wouldn't happen. so the moral of this entry is: you only live once, do everything you can even if you gotta defy the law, rules, gravity, your parents or whatever it is that preventing you to live life, but do know your limits. do i sound like a teacher? nope, 'cos i'm a barbarian.
